A Stroll You’ll Never Forget: Discovering Newport’s Cliff Walk

If you’re looking for the best way to enjoy a beautiful day in Rhode Island, you have to see the Cliff Walk in Newport.

The Cliff Walk begins at Easton Beach, where you’ll find both a parking lot and street parking nearby. The path stretches 3.5 miles along the ocean, offering breathtaking coastal views. As you walk, you’ll also get to admire the beauty of Newport’s famous mansions. Highlights include The Chanler, The Breakers, and The Marble House. It’s easy to step off the trail if you’d like to explore the mansions up close.

One of my favorite stops along the trail is the Chinese Tea House at the Marble House. The architecture is absolutely stunning. If I were to go back, and I most likely will, I’d make a reservation for afternoon tea. The experience includes a welcome beverage, a tea tower filled with light snacks and sweets, and an entrée of your choice.

I highly recommend taking a detour at The Breakers. Even if you don’t pay to go inside, you can still walk around the property and admire the views. Be sure to stop by the café for a refreshing drink and a light snack, then bring it out to the patio tables to soak in the scenery and breathe in the fresh ocean air.
